POLICY |
Bergstrom Electric, Inc. hires applicants based solely upon merit.
We DO NOT discriminate on the basis of race, sex, age, national origin, membership in organizations, or any other protected status.
Applications MUST be completed in the main office of Bergstrom Electric, Inc. located at Hwy 81. North in Grand Forks, ND. Fargo, ND, Devils Lake, ND or Bismarck, ND(EXCEPTION to this would be if application/interview meetings had been pre-arranged in conjunction with a job/career fair or special project hiring.
Bergstrom Electric, Inc. WILL NOT accept applications that have not been fully completed signed and submitted by the applicant applying for the position.
Only original applications will be accepted (no photo copies).
Applications are considered active for a period of thirty (30) days. If an individual wishes further consideration after the thirty (30) day period, a new application must be completed.
Preference in hiring will be given to:
Past employees of Bergstrom Electric, Inc.
Applicants referred by current supervisory or management personnel.
Applicants referred by current non-supervisory or management personnel.
All other applicants
OTHER
Applicants who can work immediately and will be available for the duration of a project.
Preference is given to applicants who have recently and regularly worked for a wage comparable to that which Bergstrom Electric, Inc. is currently paying.
Hiring will be determined upon a personal interview and position availability.
False or misleading statements or omissions made on an application or during the interview process, may result in the termination of consideration for a position or if discovered after employment has begun will result in the termination of employment.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the applicant passing a drug screening.
We DO NOT hire "over-qualified" people to fill "lesser" positions (e.g. an electrician will not be hired to fill a helper position).
The construction business is frequently time sensitive. We expect our regular full-time employees to work whatever hours may be required, which includes on a daily basis and weekends. We DO NOT consider individuals for full-time employment who anticipate continuing to be employed by another employer where (in our judgment) there is a potential for a conflict of interest, or it may impede the performance of his/her duties with the Company.
