ABC - 2006 Awards of Excellence in Construction
Associated Builders and Contractors - Award Bergstrom Electric, Inc. of Grand Forks, ND received a top award at the “2006 Awards of Excellence in Construction” banquet held in Minneapolis, MN on January 19, 2007. The “excellence” award was presented to them by the Minnesota Associated Builders and Contractors for their entry of the “Rydell GM Auto Center” project for electrical construction from $500,000 to $1 Million in the ABC’s awards competition. The ABC’s awards program is designed to recognize publicly the quality and innovation of merit shop construction and to honor all members of the construction team, including the contractor, owner and design team responsible for the project. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted from across the state and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unusual challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and budget. Bergstrom Electric, Inc. was the electrical contractor on the design-build team that built this state-of-the-art facility. The project not only necessitated proper schedule coordination, but also needed to be a functional and aesthetically appealing facility. Bergstrom Electric, Inc. was able to complete the project on time and well within the owners budget. “This project is a clear example of the high-quality work that merit shop contractors perform every day”, 2007 MN ABC Chairman Bruce Marcus said at the awards event.
