Bergstrom Projects Win 2008 Minnesota ABC Awards
Bergstrom Electric, Inc. received the two highest awards in the Electrical Construction from $500,000 to $1 million category at the Minnesota Associated Builders and Contractors Awards Banquet in February of 2009. The Turtle Mountain High School Project and the Polk County Justice Center Project both received Pyramid Awards. James Schmidt and Steve Wasvick, project managers for the award-winning facilities, were in attendance and received the plaques. The ABC’s awards program is designed to recognize publicly the quality and innovation of merit shop construction and to honor all members of the construction team, including the contractor, owner and design team responsible for the project. The winning projects were selected from 30 other entries submitted from across the state and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unusual challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and budget. Congratulations to Steve, James, and their crews on this note-worthy accomplishment!
David Lawson, Safety Director at Bergstrom, also accepted the 2008 Gold S.T.E.P. (Safety Training Evaluation Process) Award in recognition to commitment for safety in the workplace at the Minnesota Associated Builders and Contractors Awards Banquet in February of 2009. Great job, Dave!
